Susan F. Parsons

Susan F. Parsons of Bangor passed away peacefully at home on July 16, 2026, surrounded by the love and care of her devoted husband and family. She and her husband, Samuel Parsons, celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary last November. Born April 28, 1943, in Pen Argyl, she was the daughter of the late Charles T. Fishler and Nita Matlock Fishler. Susan was a Bangor High School graduate of the class of 1961. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bangor. Susan retired as a manager at Gow-Mac Instrument Co. and also worked at Bear Automotive of Bangor for many years until its closing in 1997. She was past president of the Bangor High School PTA and also the Blue Valley Patriots parents club. Her greatest happiness was her family. She was a proud and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and Gigi who never missed an opportunity to cheer on her children and grandchildren at their sporting events as well as celebrate their many accomplishments. Susan was the friend everyone wanted and, until her last breath, was always worried about everyone else before herself. Since the start of her illness, she has ended every conversation with “onward”. In addition to her loving husband, Sam, Susan will be deeply missed by her children, Dean Molle and his wife, Joanne, of King of Prussia; Michelle Hausmann, and her partner, Lin Mack, of Bangor; and Joe Reto and his husband, Andrew Gray, of Anchorage, her cherished five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Dolores Fishler of Stroudsburg, sister-in-law and brother- in- law Marie and Joe Galdi of Bangor, many beloved nieces and nephews, and countless friends. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles “Chuck” Fishler JR. Arrangements and cremation are under the care of the Fiore Funeral Home, 230 Market Street, Bangor, PA. At Susan’s request, services are private and will be held at the convenience of her family.
