Kathleen C. Sabatine

Kathleen Carmel Sabatine, a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on September 22, 2023, at the age of 77. Kathleen was the daughter of the late Matthew and Josephine Sabatine of Roseto, PA. Though a long-time resident of Pen Argyl, Kathleen’s heart was never far from Roseto, the place in which she grew up and built so many fond memories. Up until the time of her passing she could be found making almost daily trips to Roseto to sit by the garden and visit with family. Kathleen graduated from Pius X high school in 1964 and went on to earn her cosmetology license from the Stroudsburg School of Cosmetology. She owned and operated the In-Towne Beauty Salon in Pen Argyl for 38 years before retiring. Despite retiring, she never fully gave up her hairdressing career, continuing to offer services to her long-time, loyal customers up until her passing. Kathleen also greatly enjoyed her time working for several years as a popular local bartender. Kathleen celebrated 26 years of marriage to the late Daniel Fiorot and remembered their time together with fondness. A deeply devoted mother, Kathleen supported her daughters in everything they did. She spent many years traveling to early morning horse shows and softball games to offer her encouragement. In her spare time, Kathleen loved to garden, growing an assortment of vegetables and beautiful flowers every summer. She was an excellent cook, known especially for the delicious Italian feasts she would prepare for holiday gatherings. Always fun-loving, she particularly enjoyed sitting down for a beer with family, friends, and good music. She also had many happy times with pets over the years, including her cherished German Shepherd dogs and her cats. Kathleen’s caring nature and sense of humor made her special in the lives of so many. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Allison Fiorot and Sara Fiorot; her sisters, Beverly Robinson and JoAnne Jaeger; and her brothers, Matthew Sabatine Jr. and David Sabatine. She is also survived by many beloved nephews, nieces, cousins, sisters-in law, and brothers-in-law. Family will hold a private celebration of Kathleen’s life.
