Lawrence Rosato

Lawrence Rosato of Bangor passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 15, 2022. He had just celebrated his 63rd birthday on April 6th. Lawrence is predeceased by his loving parents, Lorenzo and Anna (Spagnola) Rosato. He is survived by his siblings, Nicholas Rosato and his wife Jane Hill-Rosato of Bangor and Mario Rosato and wife Marybeth of Gainsville, Virginia in addition to 2 nieces, Brittany and Meridyth Rosato and 3 nephews, Domenick, Salvator, and Jonathon Rosato and two great nephews. Lawrence was an amazing person, with a kind and gentle soul who made everyone feel special, leaving them smiling and laughing with his wonderful sense of humor. He was such an inspiration for his family and friends. A family friend recently said, “Lawrence made us all better people.” Lawrence was passionate about many things in life... love of his family & friends, the Philadelphia Eagles, WWE wresting, quoits, his soap operas that he called “stories”, the calendar, and his Italian heritage. Lawrence graduated Bangor High School in 1980 and later got a job at the Galley Restaurant in Wind Gap where he worked for 26 years. At retirement, Lawrence kept busy by working out at the Nazareth YMCA gym and taking their Silver Sneaker Classes. He volunteered weekly at the Slate Belt Heritage Center. In 2019, Lawrence received the Slate Belt Heritage Center’s Initiative Award. He also at that time was given citations for his exemplary actions in promoting and preserving the Slate Belt Heritage Center by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives sponsored by Joe Emerick and the Senate of Pennsylvania sponsored by Mario Scavello. Lawrence was a member of the Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Roseto, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on April 25, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Third and Garibaldi Avenues, Roseto, Pennsylvania. There will be no calling hours. Entombment will be at the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum in Roseto. Services are under the care of the Fiore Funeral Home 230 Market Street, Bangor PA 18013. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered in Lawrence’s name to Via of the Lehigh Valley, 336 W. Spruce Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018 or Our Lady of Mt.
